So, no I don't really think they are overpowered but as I said it before your quest to remove overpowered heroes will only end when all heroes are turned to +350. I guess I don't need to say you will not have a use for them in any random maps but they can be crucial in custom maps, if you use exhaustion techniques. OTOH, they are quite situational and to make AI spent all those spellpoints summoning elementals was one way I used often to make my lesser heroes level up. If by overpowered you mean clearly good/better then all other magic heroes: yes, of course they are. I guess that means Intelligence specialists are also overpowered.
